IDRA Research & Consulting in cooperation with Oxford University has started a major research project about Public School System funded by World Bank.
The research focuses on governance and accountability and employs traditional survey methods (quantitative survey) as well as controlled field experiments (qualitative research) to measure the attitudes of stakeholders (parents of students, teachers, school principals, members of school boards and other community members) toward governance in the education sector and their preferences for accountability and transparency. The research will provide a baseline to measure the impact of governance improvement measures and school autonomy reforms being planned by the Ministry of Education and Science in Albania. The research involves more than 4000 interviews with school stakeholders and about 200 Field Experiments (focus groups) in 200 schools around Albania.
